About

“Words do not express how thankful I am to everyone who came here. Keep up the good work and bless you all. I am so grateful to have been a part of this program.”

-M.J., Homeowner

The annual Bozeman Fix-Up Festival brings our community together for one day each year to provide minor repairs for our low-income neighbors, making their homes safer, more accessible, and more energy efficient. In the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors, homeowners receive labor and materials at no cost to them thanks to the contributions and support of the larger community, including individual donors and volunteers, service and community organizations, and local businesses.

The first annual Fix-Up Festival in 2010 rallied 72 volunteers to repair 6 homes. Every sponsor, volunteer, and homeowner was touched by the experience, and each following year the Fix-Up Festival continues to improve. Through the year 2023, we have repaired 143 properties.

• Each year in the fall we complete repairs for up to 12 elderly, disabled or veteran low-income homeowners in Belgrade, Bozeman, Four Corners and Gallatin Gateway.

• Local businesses and service organizations adopt home projects, organizing volunteer teams and contribute to the cost of materials.

• Approximately 195 volunteers, including around 150 non-Rotarians, contribute more than 2,500 volunteer hours completing repairs during our event.

• We generate support from sponsors and home adopters who contribute more than 94% of project costs through donations and in-kind contributions of labor and materials.

• Local partners like HRDC and Love, INC help generate and screen applicants.
